Snapshots from Maine

Just a handful of photos to share from my trip to Maine this summer. I found that I wasn't pulling out my camera quite as much as I did last year, but I did manage to capture a few interesting moments, from pretty sunsets to paddle boarders to an unexpected frog.

  1. Beautiful photos! I really like the one with the sun framed in the boat pulley thing. (You can tell I know nothing about boating)

    1. Thanks! I think my boating knowledge is about the same level as yours!

  2. Ah, I see you visited Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor! I was lucky enough to be born on Mount Desert Island. We moved away when I was in second grade, but later I worked in Bar Harbor during the summers when I was a college student. Did you hike at all? What was your favorite place on the island? Where did you go eat?

    1. We hiked just a little bit, mostly on the trails close to the main points around the park. We did make a new restaurant discovery, though- Cafe This Way. Do you know of it? It was highly recommended and the food did not disappoint. And of course we ate some of the famous popovers from Jordan Pond too!

    2. Oh yes - Cafe This Way! We ate breakfast there a few times. Wonderful omelets, cool tables. I only had the popovers at Jordan Pond once. I think they were good - I honestly don't remember.

  3. You are a great photographer. The pictures are amazing. And that frog, how cute. I know what you mean though. I noticed that I take less and less pictures now when I travel. I just want to enjoy the moment and not worry about taking that perfect shot. Years ago (I think 2003) I visited Bar Harbor, Little Cranberry Island for a wedding. It was the first time I ate lobster. Best time ever.

    1. Thanks! I haven't been to Little Cranberry Island, but I did see the ferry that takes people to and from it. I bet it would be a great spot for a wedding.
